Frequently Asked Questions
Find answers to common questions about our tire services, pricing, warranties, and more. We're here to make your experience as smooth as possible.
See All QuestionsDo you service fleet and commercial vehicles?
Businesses across St. Michael, MN depend on their work vehicles staying on the road. Contact us to talk about tires and service for your fleet or commercial vehicles, and our team will explain what we offer.
Do you offer financing?
Financing options may be available to help spread out the cost of tires and repairs. Availability and terms depend on the plan and approval. Ask the team at Berning's Auto Repair about current options.
Why is my tire pressure warning light on?
The tire pressure monitoring (TPMS) light means one or more tires is below the recommended pressure, or that a sensor needs attention. Temperature changes in St. Michael, MN can make pressure drop, so check your tires as soon as you can. If the light stays on after inflating, have the system inspected.
How can I tell how old my tires are?
Every tire has a DOT code on the sidewall, and the last four digits show the week and year it was made. For example, 2321 means the 23rd week of 2021. Rubber ages over time, so the team at Berning's Auto Repair can help you decide whether older tires should be replaced.
What are the warning signs that my brakes need service?
Squealing or grinding noises, a soft or spongy pedal, vibration when stopping, or the vehicle pulling to one side are all signs your brakes need attention. Drivers in St. Michael, MN should schedule a brake inspection as soon as they notice any of these symptoms.
